I'm getting ready to work on the brakes, and I've read the FAQ, but I still have some questions. Is the 84 Jeep mc the best for disc/drum, or just for 4 wheel disc? Also, I'm building a no-donor. Do I need some kind of junction block or proportioning valve? Is it better to go Ford, or aftermarket? Thanks in advance...

Ed, Its my understanding that the 84 Jeep MC is for 4 wheel disc cars. Not sure what the favorite is for rear drum cars.

Yes, Jeep mc for 4 wheel disks. You'll need a junction block where the 2 front lines connect to the 1 mc line. Im not using a prop valve.

I have the 84 Jeep mc and rear drums. Stops fine. Also have Wilwood proportioning in the line for the rear brakes.

Is the 84 Jeep master cylinder a straight bolt-in or do you need to drill a larger hole in the chassis or make any other chassis modification?

No mods at all. Just bolts in. We use the Jeep for d/disc and d/drum with no problems. Cheers Richard.
