Those of you with the 3-link rear end will note that the FFR supplied bolt to mount the lower control arm to the traction-lok bracket on the axle is the metric equivalent of a grade 5 bolt. The OEM bolt is too short but is grade metric 10.9, grade 8 equivalent. The main reason I suspect is that a bolt over 100mm (OEM length)is difficult to find in grade 10.9. The FFR engineers do not feel this is a problem. The bolt has been successfully used in the spec racers and there have been NO problems reported.
If you have a certain level of paranoia or want to solve a non problem......
Mark Reynolds at Breeze Automotive has 12 mm bolts 110 mm long in metric grade 10.9 that can replace the FFR bolt. He also has the appropriate OEM locking Nut.
