It'll be two years in August but #2283 is finally coming together. 472cu.in, IRS, DOVEC heads ported and polished, TKO Plus tranny, roller rockers.

It takes more than time and money to make one of these cars possible. I'd like to thank:

Factory Five for making it possible.

Richard Oben at North Cobras for the chassis setup and motor installation.

Finishline for the dual fan unit, and their great service.

Mike Everson for the billet e-brake cover.

Cobra Restorers for the valve covers, air breather, and logo emblems.

Mark at Breeze for the great custom fit carpet.

Mike Smith for the beautiful Ford Royal blue pearl metallic paint.

Russ Thompson for his custom throttle pedal, and fan shroud.

D&D performance for the TKO tranny.

And all the others I've forgotten to mention, but

Especially the forum and all of its great members for your wonderful help.

Thank You!

The local car club is having a show tomorrow and she'll make her first appearance there as one of the host cars. I also own #1061 which is a stock small block and the two cars couldn't be any different. The small block runs great but it's like Barry Manilow and the big block is like Steppenwolf!

Steppenwolf!

Brentt,

First class my man. VERRRRRRRRY nice!

I remember my first Steppenwolf album.."For Ladies Only" It was a double vinyl and when you opened the album, there was a photo of a car in the shape of a willy... veins and all. The rear fenders were the jewels. What a riot. It is still one of their best albums. No kidding. Congrats on your masterpiece.

Bill,

The PPG code is 4830 SC, which is 1994-98 Ford truck, Royal blue pearl metallic. We painted the entire car white, laid out the stripes, and then painted the blue. The white base coat definately makes a difference because the block, valve covers, and air cleaner, are painted the same color but without the white basecoat and they are darker blue. My painter also used supercharger additive in the clear which added about $300.00 to the paint job but gives it more depth. We also added a tiny amount of blue pearl to the white which gives the stripes a blue pearl tint.
