Shift in 1st and takes off like a rocket! Now if I let off the clutch just a little say half way goes fine like its supposed to. Should there be or should I install a stop for the clutch pedal? I need to drive this thing!!

Thanks for the reply guys. Here is the deal. The clutch assy is new, original flywheel. She shifts into reverse fine. But in 1st gear it bucks when I let the clutch out then takes off quick, about lost it to the sidewalk. I may try starting off in 2nd gear and see what happens, just that 1st gear scared the bejesus otta me. Is this normal because of the lighter frsme? Thanks-Bill

Well after leaking a bit of fluid from the tranny while driving it is shifting okay, got it up to second! Short street. I used ATF fluid and assuming this is correct right?
