History
Kit arrived at home just before Christmas 2005, so we immediately had a christening party at which Cobra beers were served - well, what else? During early 2006, the chassis was converted to right hand drive before being powder-coated.

We reached go-kart stage by the end of the year, so we had another party with more Cobra beers and two parrallel black lines appeared on the garage floor!

Through 2007 the body went on, then all the ancilliary components until ready for it's regulatory test - still in gel coat - in August. It failed on a multitude of detail items, but at least we knew what was required.

The car was then stripped and went off to the paintshop, returning in splendour two months later. Reassembled once again, we resubmitted it for the regulatory test and it failed again, but only a few things, finally getting through in May 2008.

The car was then inspected and confirmed as an all new car, getting its registration in June and we were road legal for the first time. This was celebrated by a 350 mile round trip to see our son at University.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Under the hood in England is the interior!! But under the bonnet we have: 1989 Ford 351W 5.8 litre V8, stroked to 393 and fitted with Edelbrock RPM Performer package = 475 bhp and 500 ft lbs of torque. Tremec TK 600 5 speed transmission. 3.55:1 rear axle.
Interior
Classic S/C interior with traditional gauges, black leather seats and aluminium handbrake lever cover.
Exterior
Single driver's roll hoop in black, quick jacks in black, stainless steel sidepipes. Rear fog lamp, side repeater indicators and oil cooler.
Audio
The exhaust note. I now have locally made stainlesss steel sidepipes last tested at 128db plus a huge Track Day set to keep it down to 100db (which I hate!)
Suspension
Independent Rear Suspension. Pin drive front and rear.
Wheel and Tire
17" Vintage Wheels Halibrand Replica pin drive with 245/45 x 17 front and 285/40 x 17 rear, Nitto 555 tyres.
