I just watched the "LA river" scene the other night on Youtube.
Funny how in the movies, you can always just drive in and out of there.

Yep, Gumball Rally is what started it all for me, Watched it with my Dad. Got the movie a few years ago and watch it every now and then.

My first memory of a Cobra was at the 1963 Lake Garnett Grand Prix, Garnett Kansas. The factory team arrived with their hauler, and took on 3 or 4 of the new lightweight Gran Sport Corvettes.
It was no match and the Cobras finished 1-2-3.
This coming sunday, on my way to LCS , I am planning to stop at Garnett Kansas and tour the track with my car. Just one of the items on my bucket list.

it dawned on me over the weekend when I saw my first Cobra...
Was flipping through the channels this weekend and saw The Gumball Rally (1976) was on - and it hit me, yep - this is my first memory of the Cobra!
