I'm trying to help a friend get his MK IV charging system working using a 1st generation alternator. I've read the posts I could find on the topic and all the links inserted are dead now. I'm looking for an alternator and regulator wiring diagram for a 1G system. I thought it would be wired the same way as say a 1966 Mustang would be wired but evidently not. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

    Mustang Man,

Just left the Tampa DMV with a signed TN title from the previous owner, they have no idea how to title my cobra in FL. They are hung up on the year. Any ideas? I've printed the form HMSV 82040 but not sure if that is applicable.

Mark: I think I am close to starting this thing up. I was wondering if you could tell me about vacuum lines that I will need. I have the cobra intake and cannister, but nothing else really. I am wondering if you could explain what I need for those. Also, my harness uses a molex connector behind the dash. What kind of crimper do I need for that? Is that the same one you used for the waterproof connectors? Does Sears sell them? I may need to call you this week. Are you going to the Roar and Soar? Let me know. Thanks! Chuck

Mark: hey there. Thanks again for the assistance. I have quite a bit to follow-up on. I cannot thank you enough. Quick question...I am missing the boot on the trans that was on the T-5. It is the boot on the shifter that was so old it was rotted and broken. Do I really need that boot? I have not yet tried to locate one, but wondered if I even needed to. Hope all is well. What's Tip's username on here??? He was a really great guy and I am happy to have met him. I look forward to more meetings.
