    Hi Glen,

Thanks for the note, it's been fun so far finally driving it. Malvern Cars and Coffee sounds good, and I know Caesar likes to go there at times. Maybe early September we can all meet there.

I'm just west of Philly in Media, and it is hot. I think that I would put your suction cup, for spinning the valves, in a drill. Prussian Blue shows where the valve is seating properly. You probably knew that. Did you get new springs?

One of these weekends I'm going to head up to the Barn Cinema on 611 and visit the guys that meet there. It will be nice to spend some time with people that I don't have to explain everything to, like the car shows I've been to. That has to be close to you.

I have all the parts and I am learning about "lapping valves". It takes about 20 min to do each one and I am replacing all of them. I have one done and have verified I am doing it right. It is quite warm here in Philly and my garage faces the setting sun. It is hard to find the motivation after work to stand in hot sun and fiddle with the valves. There isnt much racing in July and early Aug so I was just planning on doing maintenance and cleaning, oh well.

I will be posting my lapping progress in my post,

    Hey Glen,

I don't even know whether I posted my first go-cart vid now...it was nothing exciting as I only drove it down the drive albeit that is 700+ feet or so. I had a couple leaks to deal with so stopped any more rides and have since been trying to button her up as much as possible. Leaks were addressed and I'm installing carpet. I'm getting close to fitting the body perhaps even this week depending on a few things getting completed.

    Hi Glen,

No, I didn't tie the pontoons to the chassis yet. In fact, I never even test fit it with clamps. I should probably find them and see how it fits. I'm working on the windows now, then the next step is to go back to the aluminum for the pontoons and wheel well. I was planning on fiberglassing in a few mounts to the hood to hold the upper aluminum. We'll see how that goes.

    Hey Glen,

Yes I got her started. Turned out my battery had drained down a bit likely because when I bought it in January, it had a 06/15 date on it so was sitting for a while and likely needed to be charged before I installed it. All fine now and started it multiple times to check for leaks. Now close to go-cart that I hope to do this week.

    Thanks for your help.

We just installed the doors last weekend. You have taken on quite a project adding rolldown windows to your Coupe. You have a lot of energy invested in making it work, I've seen some posts. There isn't much extra space in the door or cockpit. I am getting EZ Pass. No way can I get my wallet out of my back pocket and then pass money out the sliding window. I just hope the A/C works well.

I hope you come up with some way to deal with your reaction to fiberglass. Although I try to wear a respirator, I'm sure I've breathed in plenty of gelcoat and there is a long way to go.

I thought we had a shot at being done (painted, registered and inspected) in about 18 months, but mid summer seems more reasonable. Time will tell.

Thanks for asking. My plan is to fabricate some modifications (power windows and some extra interior space) before starting the actual the build. In the process I had a pretty severe allergic reaction to fiberglass and associated chemicals. This took me out if the garage for several months while I healed and figured out how to work around it.
I've been back at it for a couple of weeks. There's a Door Windows thread in the other forum where I've been posting progress. I figure I'll do a nice wrap up thread on this forum when I have operating windows.
I've been following your posts. Nice going!

    Thanks for the tips, Glen.
I just put some heat in my garage. I hope I don't have to do anything in 30 degrees!
I understand that Chris went Coyote. I just decided to go that way too. I would have had to put about $4,000 into a drive line using the old 4.6 DOHC donor. A brand new driveline just makes more sense to me.
I'm way to old and too slow to take up road racing. Road rallies and a few hot laps or quarter miles are more my thing. But NJMP would be great road trip and watching Chris burn up the track would be fun.
    Keep me posted.
