    Hi Calvin,
Was in Pasadena last week and had breakfast with Dan. He says you are still alive and well. Was wondering if you (and Vivian) are doing the Pines to Palms run this year. I am storing my car at our Pasadena home so will be leaving from there to go on the cruise. I have asked Tony Wong and Bill Russell if they want to meet at the Country Bakery in the Sears parking lot near Rosemead and Foothill at 7:30 and caravan to Hemet together. Let me know if you two are up for it. Would love to catch up.
    Regards,
    John

    Hi Calvin,

Not sure if you saw this post to Scott (in San Diego) who will be going to Utah in June. Let me know what your plans are when they are finalized. Looks like everyone will be taking different routes. See you soon.
    J.

I will jump in and attempt to raise the awareness level to see if the So. Cal. contingent can get our act together and join up for a pre-cruise activity to the Utah get-together. I assume you will be cruising up the 15 through the Cajon Pass. The following itineraries and dates are my best guess and are subject to infinite change.

Karen and Andy(vnmsss), who live in the Lake Mathews area, may link up with Don and Aecha (turbodon) in central California and take in Yosemite, Reno, and a northern route into SLC. Their departure time more than likely will be the weekend of the 12th/13th.

In the past Vivian and Calvin (L.A./Eagle Rock Area) have driven their MKI to Misquite, Nevada, stayed overnight, and then driven on to SLC (Lehi) the next day to rest up and stay overnight for the departure from Larry and Shirley's home in Saratoga Springs. Doug and Linda Wonderly (1fastsc) will probably join up with Vivian and Cal. Their departure from the L.A. area will probably be the 14th and carry them up the 15 to SLC.

Victoria and I plan to leave from Dana Point the morning of the 15th and trailer our roadster to Brian Head Resort and stay overnight. We will meet up with the Utah group the next day for lunch at the Big Rock Candy Mountain. On the 15th, we plan to stop for a pee-pee break around 10AM at McDonalds at the Wrightwood/138 off ramp along the 15 north in the Cajon Pass north of San Bernardino. If anyone wants to meet then, see you at the Golden Arches (or the 2nd urinal).

The hope is all interested parties will comment on their plans and/or offer their alternate routes for consideration to the fun and frivolity awaiting in Utah. Doug and Linda Rosier may have some suggestions for lunch (or other things) in Las Vegas if the schedule works out.

Don't you just love it when a plan starts to come together!!
