    Hi Edward,

I was looking at a post you made on 6/22/16, a photo of your transmission which showed the slave cylinder and the installed fork connector from Mike Forte. In the photo there are two bolts holding Mike's part to your clutch fork, and it looks like the heads( or nuts) on the slave cylinder side are small enough to fit inside the slot of the part. essentially , in the photo it looks like the two bolts holding the part to the fork are not attached to anything. Could you tell me what size they are?

    Thanks.

By the way, I wanted to thank you for responding to many of my threads with crucial input.

    Hi Edward,
Started my MKIV build with the 2016 Coyote. I would like to say I am in awe of the detail and expertise you show in your install. I have a question for you about the oil filter situation. Mine came with the oil cooler. I removed the mount from the car, however I'm not sure how to remove the cooler from the mount. It has what looks like a locking retainer ring. The mount has tabs that will not allow the ring to turn. Does the cooler just spin off of the mount? And, does the new filter go back on the same mount?
    Thanks for your advise.

Time for me to get your thoughts on alignment. I have made eyeball adjustments for the front and rear suspension. Have had the body on and off several times for the normal tweaking.
After setting the ride height a some nominal measurement, it seems to me that loading the car up and taking it to the alignment, without the body on, would make for extremely easy job for the alignment shop. All the adjustments are beyond easy to access, and with the FFR recommended caster, camber, and toe numbers, the process should go very quickly.

Have not seen any posts regarding our 2015 IRS adjustments.

Different topic: I selected Metalmophous to prepare and paint my car. Kyle, another Maine Cobra builder selected the same after evaluating the others. Both cars go into the shop in September.

    Good morning Paul,

I am ready to mount my seats. Have DS on JEGS tracks. FFR hardware includes eight bolts indicating the seats are thru bolted into the frame. Appears as though the tunnel side of the seat mounting will be into the 4 inch tubes. Your thoughts on seat mounting?

It is all about the details, right?

Another related question is wheel weights associated with balancing the FFR rims. What has been your experience?

Good morning Paul, I have a request related to your new Rival S tires. Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow. Is there is S stamped anywhere on your Rival S tires? I may be overly concerned, that I will receive the previous model of Rival, and not the newer S.

    Good morning Paul,

Given I am going with Forte hydraulic clutch, I of course will be adding another reservoir. I am thinking of just buying another FFR round reservoir vs the CNC model. Any thoughts on their reservoir? I like the round shape better than the squared off shape.

I have to tell you, I do not complain about much, but FFR really dropped the ball on my center section. Following your lead of getting the IRS components, I informed FFR of the MPS stock pile of new IRS take outs. They promptly bought everything MPS had, and assured me one had my name on it. I checked several times with FFR to make sure they had my 3:55 center section, and they gave me a thumbs up. How they shipped me a 3:15 baffles me. I was hoping for some sort of explaination, but only that I may get one in December. I am retired and working on my car full time and this really slows me down. I see you have had a couple of parts issues as well. At what point do I call Dave, and would it have any impact? Or, just keep the pressure on the sales staff? Ah, but tonight I actually assembled the front suspension, minus the hubs. What joy. No more bitchin from now on. Thanks for all you posts. Helps tremendously. Rick

Well, edwardb, I thought for a second my center section was a 3:55, but the numbers I was comparing to yours, were actually the part number for the cover plate. The true center section number are on a little white tag. My number is S257A 3L15, while yours is S269A 3L55. I will pass this info to FFR to see how they want to resolve this. The fun has just begun. Rick

Picked up my kit yesterday and it went very smoothly. Started the inventory this morning and first thing I noticed was FFR sent me a 3:15 gear center section instead of the 3:55 I ordered and they said they had received from MPS. Before I get too excited, the first question is the 3:15 wrong for my Forte 306/T5 engine combo? Will ask Mike as well, but thought I would run it past you.

I will be picking up my kit this Thursday and it just dawned on me that I don't know how it is covered under my auto insurance policy. I have a call into them, but given you have recently picked you car up, I thought you may have the best answer.

    Hey Ed,

I was wondering if you still had the parts list for the mechanical linkage set up referred to in a recent post by Norcal1877 which looks pretty nice, and would be willing to share it. Also, where you found the majority of parts. Thanks!

    regards,

Hi Edward, your car is coming along great. Love the paint work.

A couple of questions if you dont mind me asking... I notice with your build that you have removed the small steel bracket located above the right outer fuel tank strap and installed a patch panel. What is this bracket actually for? I am about to install the lower trunk panel and wondering whether this bracket is useful or not. It looks cleaner without.

Also, what is the need for trimming the wheel well openings on the Mk4 body? Is this just to clean the edges or have you done it to remove the curves edge?

    Cheers

Very nice car. Could you tell me why you replaced the UCA tubes for your power steering? Which caster angle are you using?

    EdwardR,
I'm doing my car in Vermillion red also. I'm trying to decide on which white I'm going to use for my stripes. Is there any particular reason you chose the GM Arctic White? In hindsight, would you have chosen any other white? Thanks... Mike

Sir, I have a question for you- I noticed you have 03 cobra calipers, what year spindles did you use? I have a complete kit coming after jun 1st, and all ready have the red 03calipers, but the FFR supplied spindles are arriving-not sure if they will mount up. Im ok with having to buy different spindles, so I thought I would write and ask- thanks very much in advance. Jeff
