    Hi Bob,

Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been away for a few days. I did see your post and read it with great interest. What happened to you is exactly what happened to me. After much discussion and go around, Patti at FFR finally put me in touch with Wilwood and eventually I recieved a new forged replacement pedal from Wilwood. I opted to purchase a new brake pedal too, so they would match. I think, if memory serves me correctly, it was around $80. I replaced the pedal with the body on and it was very difficult to do. I had to pull the steering wheel to give enough room so I could literally lay on my back, if I had to do it again, I would remove the drivers seat too. Although this was a very frustrating and difficult process, I stilll think it was simpler than removing the body, especially if the car already painted, such as mine.

Hope his helps, let me know if you have any more questions.

    Good luck.

The Forum is fully back up and running so I can comment on your messaage. I don't get many messages in this file but I do try to keep up with.

I'll most likely be posting some pictures when I get back into Tops, I still want to get my car in running condition first, I have been 10 year working on it (and 19 Tops too) and am close to being ready for it to happen.

If I miss contacting you, I am still available on P/M or e-Mail mesasges.

Thanks for the interest in my Tops (hobby).

    Regards, Rick.

13% plus all those 'extras' will add up-main thing is you'll get the car built and love it-and you live in a great place too-enjoy!

Glad to hear it. You are a better shopper than I am.

I called Forte and Ford Racing asking for a TKO 600 with yoke. After adding shipping, duties, customs and brokerage costs. Then paying the Ontario government an extra 13% sale tax. Then installing a different clutch plate, flywheel to work with the TKO, and bellhousing. I did the math and its over 3K with an at parity dollar.

Or I can rebuild my T5 with an A5 gearset for 1350 with nearly the same performance. My choice was very easy.

    Thanks Bob,

I bought them in plain stainless steel and then had them ceramic coated locally for about $120. I didn't add anything underneath them as they seem to do the job on their own.
