new roadster build

Hello FF community
I'm new to this forum and plan on starting a thread for my MK4 roadster build.
I ordered the complete kit and plan on powering with a rebuilt 1966 289 Hipo small block. Transmission is a Tremec T5Z. The kit is scheduled to arrive on Monday.
I've gone through multiple build threads and there are many, many modifications that people have posted about.
I would love to hear about what you think is/are the most useful modifications to make to the stock configuration and why.
I haven't had a lot of experience working on cars in the past, but am pretty mechanically inclined. This is my first automotive project of this scale.
Any advice from forum members would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and I'm sure I'll be soliciting advice often from this community.
-E

You can do it!

Either start a new thread in the main roadster forum, or ask the Moderator to move your thread.
