Well I believe I have solved the engine smoking problem. Off throttle and then back on and smoke, not all the time.

Pulled the intake manifold and the pictures tell the story.

Back together later this week and and hope it is fixed. I have a track day at Road America later this month.

Your thoughts??

I hope you used a different gasket. I had the same thing happen with a set of the Fel Pro print o seals. They actually melt if any antifreeze gets near them. Some research revealed this is a guaranteed results with this gasket.

I had my issue on a Ford crate engine also. I used the Fel Pro and called Ford after the issue. The gasket, they recommended may have differed in that it had a steel laminate in it. The 1st print o seals did not.
Do a google on the Fel Pro print o seals. My 1st set leaked on the front ports next to the water passages. The paper looked like it dissolved or softened to a mush.
At least you will know the effects if it starts to go bad. Good luck on it.
