The car finally got lined up. The initials were terrible, I know. It still drove fairly well considering. The tech suggested a less aggressive camber for the street. Probably a better choice for my needs right now.

Your initial setting look better to me!

What if I put a rope around your neck and your feet are only an 1/8 inch off the ground?

It may have been for high speed cornering, however I didn't push the car until
now so I can't give a before/after assessment.

The car definitely feels more solid in a straight line at highway speeds now.

I figure once I'm ready for track tuning, I'll have to get the setup tweaked
and the tech advised that would be the case as well.

If I told you how I initially set the suspension, you'd fall off your chair in shock.

The LCD gauges have become a big hit so I've decided to sponsor this forum
and try my luck here.

I'm just waiting for them to setup my account to get things rolling! I'll start
a formal thread once everything is in place, however if you want more info
send me a Private Message for now.

I also scored some awesome mesh for the vents. The holes around about
twice the diameter and it's nicely painted already!

It's me Tino, or "00SS_M6LS1."

I'm sponsoring the board to tell everyone about my LCD Gauge system,
but I can't post links until my post count reaches 5!

Sorry that there's nothing GTM related to share. I'm pretty much finishing
up a dual screen setup for a customer right now, and then it's back to working
on my car.

Interior stuff is primary on the list, some nose end fiberglass work, and
hopefully windows so I can drive more without fear of the weather.

I hope you're all more product than me and enjoying the Summer. Back with
some more interesting stuff soon.

Hey all, long time no visit. I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the start of the 2018 season.

Another year in the books and my car has sat pretty much idle. This year will be no different as we're
moving (again). This is our 3rd move since buying the GTM and hopefully our last! Going on 7 years
without door glass and a paint job. At least it's aligned and I can drive it around 'Ghetto style' in good
weather.

Anyway, I have a cool story to share, but I'm not sure if it will cross into the
"advertising realm" as I'm not longer sponsoring this forum

Feel free to delete this post if it violates the rules.

I've been selling a few more LCD systems these past few months. A local guy not too far from Toronto
ended up buying a single screen setup for a custom Corvette. He did some work through Pfaff designs
in Detroit as his customer plans to show this car at SEMA and other shows.

Two weeks ago I was approached by another local shop, pretty much within my region. He called to get
more information and invited me down to see his place.

It turns out he received my information via Pfaff Designs as he mentioned my LCD system that was getting
installed in the Corvette.

Just for the record, I've never called Pfaff or have any personal communication with them. I'm amazed that
a reputable company in the USA thought about my LCD system to recommend to a customer of theirs.

Going further, at least two...maybe three cars that purchased the digital gauges will be at SEMA this Fall!

I'll post some photos of the completed cars once the builders finish up. These cars are jaw-dropping!

We're finally settled into this temporary, rental house until our home is ready. On that note,
if any of you have done this to your cooling system, or you're thinking of doing it - just stop.
Stop it now!

The previous owner simply slid this hose into a rubber sleeve and hoped that the epoxy would
do the trick.

Luckily I was in the driveway doing the initial "run-up check" for the first drive of the season
when it popped.

Thanks to everyone for their links to the chrome piece.

After many years of sitting on this project, I'm biting down and making time for myself and the GTM. Job #1 is getting my own LCD gauges installed.
It's a crime that I'm not able to demo the system, or provide a decent photo of the interior when people ask. Today I spent the afternoon gutting the
interior.

The entire dash has been removed, seats pulled out, and steering column (again). The sloppy play in the linkage needs to get fixed. I know I'm
missing a bearing, or sleeve in the telescopic portion of the column. There is also a requirement for a secondary bracket and flange bearing to
prevent the universal joint from binding when the steering wheel is turning.

Now that I'm in the footwell area, the openings in the firewall can be addressed. If you haven't looked close enough, or used some backlighting, you
may not notice all of the air leaks. Most obvious is above the pedal box - I'd like to make a cover to keep the rad heat from getting into the cabin.

I'm having someone redo the gauge pod, and will be replacing the vinyl with Carbon Fiber (same for the passenger side cover). I think a matte finish
will be best to reduce sun glare. The contour of the pod is also going to change from a rounded hood, to a flat top with radiused corners to fit a 12.1"
LCD screen.

The stereo has been pulled and will be replaced with a touchscreen controller/media player with all the options to use as a demo at car shows and future
trade shows. Plus, you can't beat the cool factor of an electronic engine start/stop on screen!

I'll update again once the new dash pod is shaped. Right now, the guy is laying down the fiberglass to make a mold/copy of the original and
then we're going to modify the copy ( I have no idea how this stuff works)!

Tino, good to hear from you again.

I have 10.2 on my dash, it is very large and one can not see all of it through the steering wheel so 12 will be even worse. is this 9x24 aspect ratio? Even with Cut top steering wheel looks much better but the side still limited a bit.

can not seem to be able to finish Electronic, seems to take for ever at least for me.

Do not remember, did you have ISIS system in your car?

Hey Mostafa,

It's good to see your reply. I hope things are going well with you and your project.

My screen is a 12.1" and visibility is great with my larger, aftermarket steering wheel.

On Saturday I'll be fitting the screen and making the new dash contour
to accommodate the wider display.

I do not have an iSIS system as my setup can control everything and more

This does look better with larger steering wheel like you said, but I really wanted to avoid the larger S.W. and lose too much of the front view and once you lean back things get a bit worse.

I have also done lot of hardware and also have dash system done but totally different that what you have, something better and something not as good.

I do plan to show this someday but not till is really ready, I saw your post in the FFR forum( seemd like people have moved over a bit), I really know and understand how hard and time consuming this stuff is and doing it every day it just doesn't end, one man shops are hard and at time not rewarding as it should be, we may make a bit of money but nothing like the time put into it.

if you are ever around San Jose( bay area), Ca area, please let me know may be we can grab lunch and see if there are some benefits to team up.

Keep up the hard work.

I would like that.

I'm heading to Vegas for SEMA this year. If you're in the area, let's get together.

Did not go 2018, but went there 17,16, was much the same so skipped 18 but may be 19 I will go again.

I was around Ontario 6 about years ago when Rim was having layoff to hire some talent, would have been good time to meet.

Maybe we will meet sooner , who knows.

Getting a bit closer to the LCD install. Theo (the CF/Fiberglass guy) is coming over in a few days to grab the wooden template so he can
shape the pod. Once that's done and the test fit is done, it's getting sent for Carbon skinning! He talked me into redoing the entire interior
as well. Everything vinyl will be covered with CF, and the dash items will be 'flat' to prevent glare.

I'm a few days away from wiring the system, but I had to edit some images to get an idea of aspect ratio. I'm not sure which skin I'm going
to use, but I really like the tachometer in this layout.

While that's setup, pappa is doing up a wicked looking skin that is based on a video game. A bit of a teaser...

For anyone doing fiberglass molds, check out this pink spray-on release agent. It just peels off, and literally
no resistance to separate the parts.

Next post I'm hoping to have a video of the actual gauges working with engine running!

Any chance you could share some details about this release agent?

Thanks in advance!

I've been trying to get the info about the release agent from "my guy", but he hasn't been very responsive. Oh well, I hope he is still moving along with
the fiberglass work!

The new skin for my car is complete. It's a bit 'off the wall', but I like it! I'm uploading it to the system and will be wiring it up this week.
This will be for the console touchscreen:

This will be for the main dash display. The turn signals are colourized portions of the background, and the highbeam will be the blue behind
the RPM text. I will redo the g-meter at a later time; perhaps re-arrange the screen for a "sport mode" with more room for essentials :

I finally got smart and installed a one-way fuel valve. Now I can use the system to prime the fuel rail and shut off the pump
with the pressure reads 55 PSI. It will make starting the engine a bit easier I suppose!

Tino,
Just do an interwebs search for "PVA Mold Release Spray".
There are a few good products out there, but I typically shop with Fiberglast these days for my chemicals.

I received the first cut from the mould. It's pretty good, but needs some tweaking. By mid July, I'm hoping to have the final CF part and
ready to lock in the LCD gauges!

Word has it, I'll have my CF cut dash pod by late next week, and then I can
finally wire up the LCD!

I've been working hard on my car dash graphics. The last one was a bit "off-the-wall", but I'm loving this one!
