So I just changed out the Factory five fan to a flex a Lite 3000 cfm fan, Shortly after starting to drive I smelled something new, not wires burning but pungent, thinking that well maybe it’s paint, well the temp kept going north up to 230 before I got to stop. Coolant boiled over but I hopefully didn’t blow a head gasket , got it home and the fan works if I run it to the battery.
Looked at the fusebox and saw this.
What could’ve happened? If I had reversed the wires on the fan wouldn’t the fuse just blow? I checked the Ron Francis diagrams an Black is ground and blue is positive, that’s how I wired the new fan. Any ideas?
