Gen IIi Coupe rear wheel-well sheet metal cover- where does it go?

I have 2 'cover' pieces from FFR but I want to be sure that I mount them correctly.

Attached is the diagram from FFR which makes no sense to me and a picture of how I see them fitting.

Looks

Any guidance?

Thanks,
Dave #17

Ok, looks like these photos got rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise, so tilt your head to the left.

Dave,

I'd have to look thru Edward B's build thread, he does a fabulous job documenting his builds. Sorry if you've already looked there. Mine is a Gen 2 so I'm out.

Thanks for the shout-out. But haven't gotten that far yet. My pieces are in the unused aluminum panel box still. I have an idea how they go, but won't find out for a couple months yet.

Ok, right or wrong I ended up mounting them like the attached driver-side picture.

Again, the picture got rotated counter-clockwise.

Also attached is a picture of the uncovered passenger-side gap.

Note the conduit straight to the back of your head.

I have about 1000 miles on the car so far and I was wondering where all the sand inside the car (and my hair) was coming from.
