No - I wasn't around the Factory Five universe at that time!!

Just that the October 2018 date and Mk1 didn't seem consistent. From the discussion I was thinking he was building. Must be rebuilding it!!

Mine is up on jackstands right now. I had the old style offset clutch quadrant which with a stiff clutch, wore the holes in the Wilwood pedal box into ovals. $500+ later. New pedal box, hydraulic clutch setup, new reservoirs, fittings, hoses, etc.
I thought I was in for a $50 clutch cable.

Premium soft top - Thanks to John4337
Headrests - Thanks to John4337 (see a pattern here?)
Flowmasters - sombody on this forums fault.

Halogen upgrade for the above, since original type bulbs are as bright as a Bic lighter.

It doesn't end...it ends when you no longer have the vehicle! Then you wonder what you're going to do with the "parts" you have laying around.

I still have parts that I've bought but not installed.

It really never ends. (The QA-1s are looking really good right now!)

Seems really weird when you don't have anything planned for the coming Saturday or Sunday!

Also seems like there is no end to polishing and shining of things on the FFR. Enjoy!
pbohrs thanked this.

END? I completely rebuild my car to my specs, $25,000 in parts alone. Why? because I enjoyed doing the work myself and to me working on it and making it better, my way, is all part of the fun. Can you think of any other car where you would or could just rip the car apart every winter? If you want to have a trouble free already engineered car warranted and the dealer ready at your beckon call, you know what car to buy. Most of the time this car is bought and realized in a short time it's not what they thought.

Another MK1 here. Actually towards the end of the MK1's, with some (but not all) of the MK2 changes.

But I am now getting it fine tuned to the point that I don't know what I would change if I did another.

Even so, there are some new changes already planned for next winter.

FFR 3319. On the road since 2002 with a lot of updates

Just added Watson's LED lights, this weekend, to my MK1 I "finished" in 2002. Next up is a set of quite pipes waiting to go on. Oh and then there is the 5 link awaiting installation too.

Why is everyone parked during a cruise night?

Wink I have a plan . . .

Quote: "When I'm to old to shift, or see .or...."

When I get too old to shift, she gets an automatic,
When I get too old to steer, she gets power steering,
When I get too old to stop her, she'll get power brakes,
and
When she just gets too uncomfortable to be in,
she'll get A/C, heated seats, A top and windshield wipers . . .

Just turned 71 and bought my MkII in 2007. Still upgrading it trying to keep up w/ the newer Mk's. A year ago my wife was going with me and noticed I needed an extra second (I swear, just one) to get my legs to bend enough to get inside the door at the hinge area. So, I guess when you can't do that anymore we will know to sell it right,...right? Sure honey. We moved recently from the DC area and autocrossing here is near non-existant unless 2 hr+ drives are involved. AX has been my life since 2007 but now I am thinking I need a new dash w/ the new gauges, and I have left my better riding/winter rear springs in. The fronts were dropped at the end of last season from 800 to 700 as an experiment. Didn't get enough AX to see if that was a good idea but it does ride a bit better so they stay for now. Need to revise my web searching. This past holiday I found out too late there was a cruise and parade just 30 min away. Need to be searching differently from now on.

I'm really glad to see so many Mk1's are out there being enjoyed. Mine was hardly a basket case, but I could see there were no upgrades from day one, so now it is a great project that keeps me busy, happy, and wallet thin.
