I wonder what frame it has or if it was even from a kit. The windshield is from an MGA. The trunk lid may even be from an MGA. The more I look at it the more MGAish it looks.

That is sadly what gives Cobra replicas a bad name to some. No disrespect because it's probably someone's hard earned project. But good grief.

Thought this would get some attention! Wonder if this was pieced together or was some actual kit. As you say no disrespect, it was someones dream! Says just needs minor paint! Wonder what the "BAT" could do with it?

I don't think that can be confused with a Cobra replica!

Craigslist Cobra

My first thought was to propose we crowdsource the funds to buy it and burn it, as a service to every original and respectable replica Cobra in the world, so we can all see the value of our cars appreciated to appropriate levels that match our investments.

Then the thought of this being someone’s project settles in and how attached I am to my own projects. The fact that he built a car from the ground up demands some respect. I hate seeing someone obviously put a ton of work into this, and if it looked like something other than an iconic car it would be appreciated more, but sadly it becomes a target for criticism because it is a poor knock-off a Cobra. Same holds true for any other supercar replica.

Not so bad . . .

Come on guys . . . a little Bondo, some rust inhibitor, a little time with a torch and then a MIG welder and some clay bar should fix this example of a waste of fiberglass into something worth owning as a garden show piece with daisies growing out of the cockpit . . .

Have actually seen a couple of these up close and personal.

One was at a swap meet, and no one even looked at it.

Just as ugly as in the pictures.

I agree with the torch part.....

Not a bad deal

Ya all can laugh all you want. That car is priced right and a great car for someone wanting a Cobra with ability to make it their own. Yes, it needs a lot of work. But people, it is priced below $13000. For someone wanting a garage project it is a great buy. No, I don't have anything to do with car, nor do I know the owner or seller. Oh yeah, I do admit the engine bay needs a whole lot of work. But again, 13K!

Dayum... It's an AWARD WINNER, even ORIGINAL. If it wasn't $10k over priced, I'd throw in a Few Bucks. Honestly it gives the term (I hate) "KIT CAR" a Worser/Worest/Fugly Name. Yea, all dat. Most folks with "Some-thing" like that will say "ORIGINAL, MINT..." and that made me almost throw up a second time. It's a Red Headed Stepchild, Only a Muther Could LOVE It.

I'm so sorry I said that.

That's the last I heard too---and he was just crazy enough to do it!

Looking at the headlights on this thing it appears that the builder might have been doing some dumpster diving and salvaged a bit of Hoofa's work
