After many years of racing I had a few torn and worn out LCA bushings, so I installed these #16332 - Spherical Bearing Inserts for Front Lower and 2015 IRS Control Arms - Factory Five Parts Catalog, a little bit of a PIA to install but all complete and will see how they perform and no more greasing !

I had a weird oil pressure problem recently. My pressure would jump around and go very slow to peak cold pressure at start up. It ended up being the set screw loosed on the oil pump and the bypass valve was floating around because the set screw provides pressure against the spring and slide valve. Of course that was the last thing I checked.

Mine was the oil cooler had blockage, as the pressure was 30psi and would drop when engine rev'ed, since the flow was not there and my large clearances the oil was not being replaced and thus the pressure drop. All better now, I was worried I would have to pull and teardown engine.

Tony,

Sounds great, glad you made your weight goals. And then Trevor's 2,360 w/ driver adds to the encouragement.

It will be fun to compare the cars on the top end and acceleration, I backed down on caster also, down to 7 degrees so hoping that helps a little bit on too much turn in

Finished rebuild, hit the track this weekend, can ran quite well until it developed an rear main seal issue and could not continue. The car pulls super strong, no over heating issues, had to do some alignment issues, fixed this and car was stable. Only had the car up to 6500, so still have another 1000-1500 rpm to go. I also had 3 coyote coupes to go against. All-in all pleased with results, just wish I could have finished out the weekend.

Good show. All sounds good but what is it with rear mains?
Been there, didn't like it either?
7,500-8 will sound great.

Have no idea, the whole underside or car has an oil bath, what a mess, must have lost over a qt of oil. This was a 2 piece main, we know how those can go. It was fun racing, car has plenty of get up and go now, need to get used to power band 3-8K so no more lugging in corners

Other than a defective seal or bad installation, check your crank case pressure.

Yes we will verify what caused the seal to go, but we did notice at first start up (not above 1500 rpm) it was dripping, it just got worse and worse

Oil leak fixed, was the rear main seal and oilpan gaskets, so all better now, had test and tune last Friday and performed perfectly, I had it up to 145mph @6K so I have lots more room for speed, I have to get used to taking engine yo to 7500 as compared to 5800 on previous engine.

I had not weighed for several years. Ran it across the scales at Pacific last weekend after qualifying. #2630 lbs. WOW ! I know I added some stuff but didn't think it was that much. More cage, accusump, oil cooler and related lines, Boss block, 275 tires. Pretty heavy.

Street car...FFR 3904K 347 EFI, T5, 8.8 3 link, 15" Team III's.
Track car....FFR 4662SP 347 big bore, EFI, T5, 8.8, 3 link, 17" Toyo's
