Hot Rod Bump steer kit

Just got this kit from kootenai valley customs. I’m not that far along with my build, mainly collecting parts. I’m sure Tim W did the necessary engineering to make these work. Very high quality pieces but see for yourselves

My car is in Body Shop now. When I get it back I want to install Tim's Kit. It looks like there has to be some cutting. I have to verify the depth of the Threads when I get it back. Maybe Tim can advise. Does yours look like mine?

Yes, the inner tie rod needs to be shortened. Not sure if the newest manual states the rod will need to be shortened. Beta builders and early kits had the tie rod as well as the threads shortened.

No need to make it more complicated than it is. There's plenty of thread available.

Level the car at ride height, do a rough toe adjustment and measure for the cut. I use the factory supplied outer tie rod for mock up, but it's not required.

No need to over think this.
MikeG thanked this.
