That's a beautiful color, even though I am a bit biased (being English). Looks great on your car.

I really like the pin stripe! It complements the BRG very nicely, and helps break up the side of the car. I think it looks great!

I also like the red Chevy pick-up in the picture too...

You should be shooting some ore video here really soon. Congratulations on getting her nearly wrapped up, and thanks for sharing your progress!

Regards,

Steve

Good luck putting it all back together, Paul.

Bring that car to BG KY next weekend so we can see it.

Could you replace one of the gas-struts with a linear activator to open/close the boot at the touch of a button?

We are not going to run wiring, we are going to use contact points to pass electric from the lower part of the car to the roof section

That sounds like a good idea. Are you doing it under the windshield, so it's covered up when you put the roadster frame on also?

Kory scored an old air HVAC unit at MSRA Back to the Fifties. I think it works well with the console and dash.

Right, we used a kit from a vendor, it contained two reinforcing rods and the shocks. The rods were massaged a bit to fit the curvature. Vendor instructions were to glue the rods to the trunk, we used screws to tighten the rods against the outer skin, then packed the opening with resin. The rods bonded to the trunk skin will last long after both me and the car have rotted away. Though not as obvious, the major reinforcing was in the bottom of the trunk to keep the back piece between the tail lights solid and prevent distortion, that seemed to help quite a bit as we stabilized the fitment.

Do you think that the shocks pull in the trunk when closed or do they push outwards and open the trunk when the latch is released. I have seen both types so I am curious. THX!
