Erik,
My wife & I are big F1 fans & talked about going, but burnt up our vacation on other events. This has been a very exciting year for F1 & that track looks phenomenal! I'm jealous & have fun! Maybe we'll go next year.

The Chupacabra Grill on 6th across from The Iron Cactus. Let's tentatively plan on Friday night at 6pm.. Just to get something on the books.

I'm going with a group of 4 of us. We got a rental car for the weekend, but looking at the traffic info it looks like it will be a fairly long ride out to the track. Drawing straws for who drives!

Only shuttles will be allowed to get to the track unless you buy the $200 parking pass. I'm personally going to park at the airport and shuttle in from there. It should be an experience and logistical nightmare at the same time. I'll be going Friday to get the feel of it early. Also, we are flying in Thursday night and hitting downtown till 7pm. Then we're hitting the advance screening for "1" at the paramount theater on Congress just to start the weekend off right! Check it out!
