Smile We don't want you to die, Chris!!!!!

Chris,
What is it worth to you?, a lunch?, or a trip to Maui?, maybe an autographed picture of Dave Smith?
There is a group of us retired types (with roadsters) in the Orange County area, that live for a challenge like yours. We all have known daBat and have, for many years, suspected he is just a front for some subversive organization supplying the camouflage for their clandestine products.
For a price, we will seek out and document daBat's establishment and report back. You do understand great harm and threat of rock damage to our roadster beauties is possible if we drive up Jeff's drive in search of the photographic information you require. Because of this our fee for services will have to be negotiated after the "exercise" is complete.
Let us know if you want us to proceed with this hazardous mission and that you agree to our arrangement for compensation.
Because of the high risk of the mission we may have to enlist the services of other "special forces" to insure a successful conclusion to this mission.
We await your authorization to proceed.

Here is a photo of your team. We are not very stealthy but do know Jeff's girlfriend.
From l. to r.: Mikey Likes It, me, runner 55.

Angry Chris, see what you have started!!!???

Leave it to some young-old guys with hot cars and permissive wives and you run the risk of starting an incident that we all may be embarrassed by. Having said that, we, "The Ageless Avengers", are prepared to embark on your stated mission to reveal the currant status of your coupe that is in the clutches of the evil deBat. Whatever dangers (and expenses) we will incur, will be properly invoiced with all appropriate backup.

Does Jeff have dogs? That may change the cost of this operation!!!

I will get back to you,,,,,,,,

Be VERY careful guys...if you overshot the target (i.e. the Bat Cave), you might end up in the claws of the Border Patrol and be deported as undocumented Cobra owners!

I'm sure Jeff told you when you dropped your car off, if you call to ask how it's going adds four weeks to the process. Same goes for spies. Take up golf while you're waiting.

Here’s an old surveillance photo that may be helpful for the Team. Loose gravel trap to be avoided, watch for dog running up and down the hills, trick gates to pass, watch out for blockwall drop off.

Good luck, may God speed.

An open box of wine left a few hundred yards up wind of his shop might buy you enough time to sneak in and get a few shots of said coupe.

OK Jeff, if you choose to invoke the Manchurian Candidate doctrine, we are left with no alternative but to raise this issue to the next level. I cannot go into detail but Krylon will be involved (and you thought underwear bombs were weird).

I couldn't take it any longer...had to leave the state...in the far, far North (AK). Crap there sure are a lot of bears and moose up here.

Thanks for the photos...hope you didn't get bite by the dogs.

Headed to Anchorage tomorrow and hoping to meet up with RobbieD and his Coupe. One of only three or four coupes in the state...I think.

Again, thanks to all for the laughs and photos.

Jeff...you are going to open the rear vents...right?

That's NOT ready for pickup! The back is only half painted and there is a big spot on the front!

If it only looks twice as good as the photos I will be happy.

Bob, I couldn't make up my mind on white or blue so Jeff painted half and half.
