i had a blast two years ago. for me, it will seriously depend on a last-minute decision if there will be a marine layer most/part of the day or not. the sun gets too strong that time of year for me. i saw last year it was cloudy all day - my kind of day!

My car is on jack stands right now. New rear end, brakes and a lot of fine tuning to get it all in place. Hoping to have a productive weekend and get 'er back on the road in time. We'll see what happens.

Built to be driven. The mission statement for the build was - build a comfortable and fun long distance driving machine that is capable of spirited street driving and the occasional track outing.
The Ageless Avengers from down Orange County way will be in attendance with five roadsters cruising up the 5 from Irvine to Woodland Hills in the morning with lights on and flags waving. Boy, are we gonna have fun!

We had a great time hanging with everyone this morning and wish we could have stayed for lunch.
Here's a few pics from our perspective
The group: I believe someone counted 22 roadsters... Maybe that was 21 roadster and an MG. :-)

It was fun, love driving my car with you guys. We counted 27 Cobras. Lunch was good. Mike and I cruised PCH on the way home. Think you can find photos of your cars at RockStorePhotos.com
Today was a perfect afternoon in Malibu. My wife and I were at Malibu Wines for a little wine tasting and heard then saw the group of Cobras go by. Recognized a bunch of the roadsters from the HB Event. I can't wait for the day to come when my Mk4 is ready to join you guys.
Great day everyone. It was awesome to see so many come from so far. The weather could not have been better and the after lunch cruise got a little more spirited thanks to Bob.
Thanks
Mike
It will be a long time before we get a better day to play with our cars. The car show gathering had great eye candy to look at as always. Our group departure of 20+ roadsters and others made quite a stir with both participants and police giving us thumbs ups. The magnificent Malibu coast was our destination for lunch and the setting did not disappoint.
After lunch ten cars went on an extended tour of the local mountain roads and enjoyed some incredible vistas. We stopped for a photo opp along the way and quickly became a center of attention also. (See below for the proof it happened.)
Many thanks to Mike Dey for organizing today and perpetuating the memory of John Lomonaco, a man who did nothing more than help out any fellow builder, just what you and I would do if asked. By honoring John's memory we are recognizing the spirit of those who came before him and encouraging the continuation of that same spirit in those who will follow. The positive vibes I felt today made my day a Memorial.
God, I love these cars!

Thanks again to Bob and Mike for setting this event up.
Getting home now was a different story for myself and Rick in his CSX Cobra. From just before Santa Monica tru Venice was over an hour of moving about 2 cars for every green light the traffic and crowds were just brutal but still worth it for the fun we had with all the other drivers.
We did get to do the 2 times and going down is totally different than going up the hill. seems to be way more very tite turns in the downhill direction.
Ca'nt wait for the next time we get together and again thanks to Mike and Bob just a tremendous day!!
