Damn, I missed the Trans-Am race. Saw them in the pits later.
This was a tiring day especially thanks to Dave for dragging me up to Corkscrew!!! There was simply too much of everything here to get a photo of every single thing. My only saving grace was I didn't go down the die-cast section. The last time I did that, I spent nearly $300 ... mind you, I love each of them, but I needed to curb my spending this time around.

Good but sad also to see Mac Archer's old #22 427 cobra out there, seems like only yesterday, but has probably been ten years since Archer and Rob Walton in his Ferrari 250 LM treated us to one of the best and electrifying historic races ever at Laguna Seca with the cobra finally able to reel in Walton's Ferrari at the wire. RIP Mac Pat.
What impressed me most in the Cobra class was the Jim Click team out of Tucson. He had the fastest qualifying time, but ate a spark plug during the run. He had the plugs laid out on the fender and said the engine was "broke". So, he jumps in his backup car and still proceeds to smoke everyone else. It is nice to have a backup original Cobra. Rob Walton was third in his Daytona. Amazing.
It was the event of a lifetime. Ralph
Correction: Walton had a close connection with the hay bales and DNF. He was third in qualifying.

Stay thirsty, my friends.
I liked this, too: Dad and I were having lunch in the Alfa corral when this guy pulls up in a Giulia Super and whips out his chairs, a table and a Cinzano umbrella. Nice!
Buon pomereggio!
