Recommendations for experienced FFR paint shops in bay area

I'm getting near the point I need to start talking to painters. Ken (StreeRodPainter) is on my list. Any other recommendations? Perferably someone who has experience with FFR cars...gel coat grinding, pin hole repair, body fitting, door fitting, etc.

In Northern California, Ken is the man.
In Southern California, J. Miller Customs, AKA the Bat (see under Advertisers)

Both of these guys do top quality work.
Ken did mine and I am very happy with the outcome.

You are getting close!
Have fun,
Arch

Ken did mine also Chris and overall I was happy with his work, I have a couple tips for working with him if you decide to take it there that will make you final product look even better. I saw Arch's car this past summer when he was down here, it is magnificent, all the women liked ARch's car the best...or maybe it was just that handsome devil Arch!!

John Lipka has been looking around the Bay area for about a month and not found anyone to shoot his Cobra. I asked around at the Mervyn plaza Wedensday night gathering for about 2 months, and no good places were recommended to me with FFR kit experience. Ken and Jeff Miller are the experts if you want a top notch job.

Your welcome to come check mine out anytime, PM me if you are interested.

Dave

Mike, thanks for the offer...I just wish I was at that point I needed a trailer. I just got off the phone with Ken and I think I have about 6-8 weeks of work to get it ready for him.

Dave, thanks for the offer. I'll send you a PM with my email and phone number.

San Jose Area Painters..

I spent alot of time driving around and talking to painters in the local area, and I was unable to find anyone with the experience of Ken at Street Rod Painter, and also, surprisingly, anyone able to beat his prices. I got quotes between 8k and 15k from painters less qualified.
Shop space rental is expensive here, and the higher wages here in the bay area drive the prices way up.
This is truly a "Drive a little/Save a lot" situation..
Better off finding someone out in the boonies like Ken..
