I have been reading for a few months and I bought my MKIII in July of this year. Its #6095 that was started in 2007. It's about 50% finished with the aluminum installation and the drivetrain installed. I have mostly just been staring at it and thinking about where to start. Every time I begin and then read the forum about something someone else has done I look at doing that also and next thing I know i'm on the other end of the car. My next step after I got the pedals where I don't mash all three at the same time is to get the brake lines hooked up, bled and then wire the car. I have already discovered the best thing to do is throw the manual away and just read the threads. I appreciate all the hard work and research the rest of you have done that will help me in my build.
First post and you're that far along? Impressive. It's even more impressive you didn't ask any questions. The problem with reading this site, it's expensive.
It's looking good but we want to see more pictures.

Hi Steven,
Welcome to the madness. One question though, where are the pictures of your "Topfuelhydro"? Now that must be one hell of a ride. I used to have a 19 ft Drongoncraft with a NA carbed L-88 in it and it was fast but yours must be incredible!!!

Doug- I'm not that impressive. Most of this work was done when I bought the car. I have done a few pieces of aluminum and changed some things to suit my taste but now i'm just collecting more parts to get a good start.
Mike- Here are some pics. The red boat is a pro mod and for sale. The white boat is the top fuel hydro. I'm the engine builder and crew chief. We currently hold the "retired" 1/4 et record at 4.58 seconds. We have run 3.63 seconds and 245mph in the new 1000 ft. format.
Welcome to this madness. There are a few of us old boat racers here, it is good to see another one on the boards. I used to race SO, 15SH (1-US in 86 and 90!) and BSH. Nothing like your pics, but still fun in its own way. Shavey is also here. He is an old Mod racer. Anything you need, these guys will help you get answers, find resources, or spend your money.

Hi steven,
I knew you had something to back your name here. The pictures are real impressive and my hats off to you.
Again, welcome to the madness.
