Hey guys, I'm happy to now be a part of your community. I'm living in upstate NY and I've been a big fan of the rides that you guys have created. I have been searching the forum for a couple months now to get a feel for the builds. I even took my family out to Factory Five so we could see the cars in person and now we are all in love with the coupe.
I have to tell you (if you don't already know), the owner of FFR, Dave, is AWESOME. Really down to earth guy and lets the car sell itself without being pushy at all. He even took me for a spin (literally - ha ha) the his coupe. (Hey, if you're planning on spending 20K for something you have to make sure it's worth it . . . and it definitely is).
Anyway, I'm going to go with the Coyote engine, TKO 600 trans. setup with the standard 3 link rear on a complete kit. I've been in contact with FFR and we are pretty confident that the new coyote headers and exhaust for the roadster will work under the hood of the coupe with little or no mods. For now I am saving and keeping tabs on the coupe builds you guys are doing here and refining my parts lists for a build next year. So again, I'm happy to be here among fellow gear-heads and can't wait to start the build. Thanks guys
Welcome aboard! There's a decent size group of FFR owners in the Capital District area. I'm sure Pat will chime in soon (he's the ring leader) There are FFR roadsters, coupes and hot rods in the area. If you go to Guptils cruise a week from Monday I'm sure there will be a group there (if you didn't already know) Stop by and introduce yourself!
thanks for the welcome guys. I have been to the guptills show a few times but i haven't been in a few years because i now work on monday nights. I do appreciate the offer of meeting up though. there is usually an unadvertised get together of classic cars that i see in passing on central ave in albany at khols plaza (i think its in the 1700 block) on wednesday nights but I haven't been in to see if its a club or just car enthusiasts. Just an FYI in case you're looking to get together more than once a month. If you decide to go and check it out, let me know and I'll meet up with you. thanks again for the welcome guys
