Glad to be back in the Cobra family again ..... Started many years ago with a LA Exotic , 428 FE, then spoiled myself with a Superformance 351 windsor, which I sold 4 years ago as I needed some $. Regretted it ever since .....got other toys since, but nothing can compare to those serpents !!
So here I am , with FFR III 5656, no doner, 302 crate / 5speeds
Needs some finishing touches. the all body has not been touched. I kinda enjoy it, driving around with no fear of scratches, but will need to get it done at some point. Any reference, 1hr North of Detroit, with somebody that can prep and paint the body ? I am not looking for a perfect job, it is a driver
I aleady got some great tips on this site, awsome place !

Welcome! I'm also about an hour north of Detroit in Lake Orion. Several options in the area for paint, but the one I know about and used was Phil Charette at New Reflections, Inc in Howell, MI.
He's great to work with and has a lot of experience with these. Mine was his ninth. Don't judge his work by his shop though. It's a small place and doesn't look like much, but he knows what he's doing. I never show my Mk3 without getting multiple comments about the great paint job. You're welcome to look at it any time.
Thank's all for the welcome !
Edwardb: Thanks for the reference, I will definitely contact Phil. I live between Clarkston and Lake Orion. I would love to see your car.
SR71: What a website you have ! Brought back some memories with the Milan dragstrip video. This was my first run with my first Cobra. I was shaking like a leaf, managed 13.2s on the first run and asked to slow down since I did not have a racing suit on (?)
