From body roll or will i need different rims? 17 inch also i have 4 lug .At mid ohio run posted on u tube under my spin you can hear the tires rub, but dont see marks under fender wells . On way home today drivers side front shock broke in half. Luckey no damage to body. I street car and on open track days as much as possable any help as whats best for me. Reason: PUNCTUATION
Don't mean to be a pain, but reading that post makes me dizzy, a little punctuation goes a long way. Either sway bars/stiffer springs or some combination will remove most body roll, and yes...you might consider getting a set of dedicated 17x9 track wheels/tires. Tire selection is much better for 17" sizes.

Do you guys run 17x9 all around or go for big rubber in back and live with not getting to rotate your tires?
275's all around works great. all 4 being the same size means as they wear you can rotate. the really big 315's on the rear are for show only.
I run 315's on the street but for racing I use 275's.
The 15" tires are junk on the track.....way too much side wall flex. (something you DONT need with these short wheelbase high hp cars)

Thanks Dave. What wheels are people using on track? As far as I can tell people are mostly buying 32 pound replica look wheels. FF5 halibrand weigh 20 pounds. Enkeis weigh 16 which is pretty good, but they are pricey (but not crazy pricey). I was surprised when tirerack came up with nothing at all.
Actually the A-tech (MB Motorsport brands) Competition weighs in at 20 lbs with the 17 X9.
They are strong and hold up well. Richard @ Northracecars.com sells them for a good price and he's a site supporter.
I also agree that a square setup (Same size all around) works well. These cars are well balanced and with a squared setup you can get just the right amount of rotation and also conserve a little bit by being able to rotate the tires to any position.

Thanks for info. Can you be more precise 275x ? x 17 . Would be very helpful thank you jeff
On the track, Khumo 710's, 275/40, the old spec racer tire. It's FANTASTIC!!! On dedicated track rims too. On the street, my 295/15's rub all the time. No issues.
Up front, I have VPM sway bar, helped a ton too.
Car is stable and responsive, but still comfy on the street.
If you do alot of high speed, front spoiler!!!

Not true I did alot of testing with both 275 and 315 on the rear of my roadster. The car is so much faster with the 315s on a 10.5 rim in the back. My car is a track only car and I have never driven it on the street. I have a couple thousand track miles on this set up and it is the best I have found. HTH vnvjeff
