NASA currently has the following regions:
New NASA regions are being added all the time. Check out www.nasaproracing.com for links to the regional sites. With NASA you’ll be competing against other FFR Challenge cars.
NASA isn’t your only option though. The SCCA (www.scca.org) allows the cars to run in regional classes such as SP or SPO. The classes vary from region to region. Unfortunately the cars won’t be competitive with the cars on the track most of the time. Most SP classes run with GT-1 and Trans-Am cars so SCCA is best considered a fun place to drive and you’ll pick individual battles to judge yourself against. The American Sedan cars also typically are on the track at the same time and they can put up a spirited fight.
HSR (www.hsrracing.com) has various classes that the cars can race in too. There is a modified time trial format that the cars can run in. You’ll typically be the only car in your class. This group is vintage racing and they have severe restrictions on racing wheel to wheel. These restrictions typically work against the FFR cars, but it can still be fun to be out there. To run with HSR, you’ll need period-correct tires and they may want your car to be carbureted vice fuel injected.
Finally, there are regional groups such as EMRA or COM who might let you race your car. Even the occasional Porsche or BMW club might let you run your car. There are many options and you’ll just have to ask around.
