Swapping a comp cams hydraulic roller into a 514. I've removed the harmonic balancer, and right behind it is a counter weight on the crank shaft. Do I need a special tool to remove it? It looks like it will be difficult to get a universal puller to work.
Thanks
Rob

Not sure there is a speacial puller for that. May want to ask Gordon Levy or one of the other pro builders about this.

Hi,
That balance sleeve just slips off as I recall. Then removing the timing chain is easy.

Not to hijack, but do you think a 514 with a blower on it will be enough power?

What HP are you expecting with that setup?

gbranham,
Plan to run 6-8lbs of boost and hope for 700Hp. Changing the cam will probably hurt the power quest.

Mike,
Thanks. It didn't budge when I pulled by hand but I'll get more aggressive with it.

Wow, that's an insane amount of power! Do you plan on drag racing your car, or just cruising? I gotta know what compells someone to need 700HP.
