Question

I've searched the archives for pictures and of course the manual is useless on this one. The question is; should I fasten the outside edge of floor panels now with rivets or wait until I put in the under door panels, or just rivet the under door panels over the rivets in the floor panel?

I wish I had waited to put my under door panels on so that I could have drilled a single hole through the door panel and floor panel. I now have rivits on the exact edge where my under door panels sits. Not a big deal as I will notch the door panel to clear them but it's more work. One other thing, it is nice to be able to remove the floor panel and remove metal shavings before final asssembly. If the floor panel is already rivited on, you won't be able to clean underneath it when you drill for the under door panels.

I just used # 6 sheetmetal screws to hold that edge until it was time for the under door panels.

I did the same as Cobradawg.....sheet metal screws hold better than cleckos, plus cleckos on the floor pan are in the way and can get bent if you bump them. You can also temporarily rivet in place and drill out the rivets later, they come out real easy. Just don't use any silicone. I'm fitting almost all of the sheet metal now. Only a few panels will be permanent
