Can't find a A9L or A9P computer

I've been trying to find a reman A9L or A9P ECU computer without luck. I don't want to buy an unknown good/bad. I tried Advance Auto who said they had one but when I went to pick it up it was a California dud like an ALD or something like that. I called Caldone and they said none at their manufacturing facility (although since they don't sell direct I'm not sure they even checked.)
Does anyone know of a reliable source for this unit or a way to tell Advance or Auto Zone what actual car or number to run? Does Ford still sell these units? Does anyone know what Ford part number they might be?

Bruce

6-14-10 update: I used a cross reference parts number of E9ZF-12A650 and by the luck of the draw the one that came in to Autozone from Cardone as a part # 78-5611 turned out to be an A9P, exactly what I was looking for. Last week I tried a cardone part # 78-5610 and got an A9M but will probably return that in favor of the A9P. The A9P is actually for an automatic but prefered for it's more aggressive advance curve. BEST PART....IT WAS ONLY $71.99 W/ NO CORE CHARGE!

Try www.rockauto.com. They have a selection of remans or you can have yours rebuilt. From about $100 to $200 or so, depending on what you want to do and model.

If you have purchased an Mass air ECU from Auto Zone or other parts stores, what store and what was the computer number for that specific store?

I needed a new EEC last month after finding the one I had was bad. Looked them up online at Auto Zone at the recommendation of a fellow forum member. After finding one with a Ford part # that matched the A3M1 I had (Called my brother, who's a Ford dealer parts manager, and he confirmed that the A3M1 is an identical Ford service replacement for the A9L), I went to the local Auto Zone. Gave them the bad one, so no up front core charge, and ordered the remanufactured one. Cardone Reman/Engine Control Computer (78-4352) | 1989 Ford Mustang 8 Cylinders E 5.0L FI HP | AutoZone.com They don't keep these on the shelf in my area, so a two day wait for shipping to the store. Cost me $82.99, has a 1 year warranty, and works great. Here's what I got, first pic is the reman part#, on the flip side from the original Ford label:
