F5R body harness and RJM engine harness

When using the Ron Francis body harness that FF sells in conjunction with the RJM EFI engine harness is there a need to splice some to the wires together to share the same sensors?

I am using a donor 302 EFI from an 87 mustang and the RJM engine harness has many of the the same wires as the body harness. So before I completely hack up the new wiring harnesses could anyone offer some insight on how to make the two fit together. Thanks

Dan

RF (Chassis) and FFR/RJM (EFI) Harness Integration

About to do this integration. Some connections appear obvious like Start, Run, Tach.

What did you folks decide on the Fuel Pump and Inertia Cutoff?

For the Fuel Pump, seems like best bet is to use the RF Rear Harness to the Fuel Pump but replace the feed from the RF cutoff with the RJM EFI lead so the EEC can control the pump.

For the Cutoff, you need the RJM unit to shut off the Fuel Pump but, do you also need/want the RF unit to disable ground? Does it make any sense to use both?

Un-plug the RF wire to the inertia switch and use the pink wires from RJM, you also need to cut the fuel pump wire on the RF and splice in the RJM fuel pump wire and your good to go.. DO not use both...

RF (Chassis) and FFR/RJM (EFI) Harness Integration

Cool...thanks for the reply. Sounds like you had no surprises.

I was tracking down a problem in my donor EFI harness and finally bit the bullet and went with the RJM unit. Have a little rework to my routing, but that's no biggie.

Nope fired right up. Make sure to remove the fuel pump fuse from your fuse panel on the RF... Cheers
