That looks like the same intercooler that I am using, the Treadstone intercoolers are made very well and they flow great. I have maxed mine out as far as heat exchanging efficiency but it does not limit flow so I am adding Water Methanol Injection to mine so I can push mine some more with out adding race gas to the mix. What kind of power are you looking to make?
Can you tell me what Treadstone model you are using?
Bob

Hey 2fast, I thought that might have been the same one. I actually sent you a couple PM's awhile back asking about it.
Last dyno without the intercooler and tko500 was 585 whp. Adding more boost and the intercooler, but also swapping to a C4, who knows where we'll end up on the dyno : )
FYI we ran into a tuning issue at cruising speed, getting some fluttering. We're adding a second bypass valve before the intercooler. The first one was after the intercooler close to the throttle body. Should be on tomorrow and back to they dyno next week.
Set up is a chipped A9L with a draw through meter.

With that kind of power I think you are headed into the FUN ZONE. BOOST is the BEST!!!! Have fun.
So the new dyno numbers with the C4 were interesting.
520 whp 477wtq
down from 585 and 540 with the stick
They tell me that's typical.
I guess the difference is, when I put my foot down, instead of climbing through the rpm range gradually increasing power, it just went straight to 5000 rpms (3rd) making near peak right away. Stabbed it once on the freeway in 3rd and spun the M/T drag radials.
Heading to the strip on Feb 5th, we'll see how it does.
It'll be my first time with a racing auto trans and a good converter.
How much boost are you making now? You will loose about a pound or two pounds boost with the intercooler. Also if you went down two pulley sizes you may be getting some belt slip. What trim Supercharger are you running? My S-trim had pulley slip very bad as I went to the smaller pulley sizes. The only pulley that worked for my S-trim was the Ultra Grip Pulley from Reichard Racing, when I upgraded to the T-trim and the JT-trim the slip was better because I did not have to push the blower as hard. I recommend the Ultra Grip Pulley because the grooves give the belt something to pull agaist and they just look cool. I may be going to a PowerGlid auto soon, it will help load my turbo better and no more on and off the gas shifting. Good luck.
I'm running the S-trim. The boost stayed exactly the same at 14. Good to hear your experiences with the different trims. I was thinking about stepping up to a T-trim if I didn't go to a turbo.
I bet a powerglide would be the perfect tranny for your car.
I finally got around to taking a few pictures of my intercooler mounted in the nose of my car. The bottom two pictures show the way I ran some of my intercooler piping. It is easy to see how my turbo got a rock into it the day I ran with-out a filter. --------------------------
The paint is special heat conductive radiator paint that I got from Eastwood, it is a semi-gloss black and very thin so it takes a few coats to get good coverage. I think it came out nice and goes good with my paint scheme.
