Spacers for IFS alum/steel, which/where

I took apart the IFS from a partially built coupe kit and after checking everything, lubing, and reassembly the spacer situation doesn't seem right.
It came with an aluminum spacer on the lower castle nut, and short/long aluminum spaces on the struts per instructions, however mixed in there is a long steel spacer on each side. I don't think the original builder had it right because on one side the steel spacer is on the lower part of the shock, and on other side its on the upper part.
This wasn't assembled by me so it may be totally off. I really don't like those soft alum spacers in there.
Anyone have a clue?

I found the information below from a combination of the Parts Order List from a complete kit as it actually lists the install locations for the included spacers, as well as the individual installation instructions from the various upgrade options.

FRONT w/ FFR tubular lower control arms;
Upper
(2) .675" Front coilover 1 rear, 1 front.
Lower
(2) .43" Front coilover, 1 rear, 1 front.

REAR w 3-Link
Upper (2) 1.10" Rear coilover to frame top, front and back
1.10" Rear coilover bottom front
.125" Rear coilover bottom back (listed as a shim, .25" in illustration incorrect)

For DONOR (lower control arms) install;
Upper
.62" Front coilover, top/rear
.32" Front coilover, top/front
Lower
(2 ).43" Rear coilover bottom 1 front and 1 back

I can only assume that the .25" steel spacer should be under the castle nut since that gets torqued to 80ft lbs.
