ZAINO Show car polish ZAINO Site

This is a good comparison study:

http://www.ffcars.com/magazine/waxtest.html

It took a lot of swirls and imperfections out, with 3 coats I am sure they would have been gone in another couple of coats but I was tired of waxing for the day.

What are we washing it with. I am still leary of hitting it with sponge 7 months later.
Is the fancier zymol any good?

A guy in work swears by "Buffalo Milk". Anyone try that?

I just saw that review for the first time. I may just have to try Ziano now. I know all of the MINI Cooper guys like it.

I use a three step process on my daily driver. First after washing the car I take and use Meguiars Clay bar kit and go over the whole car including door jambs. I then come back and put a first coat of Meguiars Professional Show Car GLaze 7 on the whole car. After that I come back and then apply the second part which is Meguiars Professional Hi-Tech Yellow Wax 26.

Gives a great shine but takes a long time to do it. Took a 30 year old car that when I bought it, it was dull and ratty looking and took the paint and brought it out and gave it a deep shine like it has a new paint job on it.

Also like the Mequires cleaners and wax's.
Clay,clean,polish then wax.
My car has a dark metalic paint. The meguires NX wax realy seems to make this color "pop" much more then the other wax's. I use the #26 hi yellow tech wax over top every few months to keep it shining it's best.
One tool I found to really help with the job is a Porta Cable DA. It makes cleaning and polishing the car much easyer plus it cuts the time down a lot.

I have used Meguires products for years and they do a very good job.

For some purposes I will use dupont or 3m.

Convertible top

What's the best product to use on a Sail Cloth convertible top? It's cloth not vinyl. I want to keep it from drying out, save the black color, keep it pliable, etc.

I use an all natural product that's applied by hand. You can find it here www.infusionworks.net.

ZAINO that's it. Any questions he (Mr. Zaino) will talk to you or quickly answer your emails.
I do believe he really loves his work.
Great product and easy to use. My Cobra's 7 years old and has never been washed. Only Zaino product has been used and the paint looks like it was just done.

Sounds like Zaino is the end all product source for Care Care. I've never used it before. Honestly, I've never even heard of it. But I just ordered the ZKIT-2, and thought that I would try it out.

So... You were the first buyer? (I noticed that it said they they had two more in stock). I figure that this was a test market to find out if there were three people in the world who would actually pay that much for something like this...

Pretty crazy, huh? Nope, I didn't really buy it. But, there are several videos on youtube of a kid in England that uses it to detail very high end supercars. Pretty amazing what he does with a car.

And, with lifetime free refills, it probably would be economical for a busy detailer who already uses expensive waxes.

As for the convertible top asked about, I have seen two good products which are widely recommended. One is the RaggTopp convertible care kit and the other is the 303 care products. Both have a non detergent cleaner which is gentle on the top and a sealant which waterproofs and UV protects the top. You clean the top well, let it dry, and seal it before it gets dirty. I hear that these two brands are both good, and these are the only ones I have seen as being that good.
I used the 303 products on a black convertible top and am very impressed. After sealing it, rain drops do not even wet to the fabric. They just float on top. They look like white crystals because they do not wet into the fabric at all. I got the 303 from a local marine shop, otherwise it was only available online. Check http://www.autogeek.net/facotop.html to see the products.

Convertible top

Thank you for finally giving me an answer. I was beginning to think I was the only Cobra convertible owner around. I've heard about RaggTop, but not the other. We have multiple boat places around here, so I'll check there. I just had to replace the top and back window, so mine is brand new and I'd like to keep it looking that way. I bought a few UV products, but I'll try to find your suggestions. Thanks, Dave

A nice tip for convertible tops. Get one of those lint rollers with the double sided sticky tape on it. Works great for getting grit off the top.

check out Nanowas by Eagle One

Guys, this is unreal wax, you can get it at almost any auto parts store and its easy to use. I have zero swirl marks and I did it by hand.......definately worth a try.

I've always used Liquid Glass on all my cars. my daily drivers and my collectors. it shines well, removes any oxidized paint the 1st few times using and protects very well. i've put cigarettes out on my car without any damage to the paint whatsoever just to show my friends cuz they always doubted me. it's a little pricey, about $25/can but well worth it. it goes on easily and best of all-it comes off easily.

Zymol Solaris, it runs $30,000 and came with my Bugatti Veyron. I also use it on the Bentley, Rolls, Ferrari's, Saleen's, and Lambo's, it works equally well on all of these cars. Heck it even works on patten leather shoes. Since using Solaris I just can't see myself using any of the lesser products on the market including Royale. What more can I say?

The best product I've used is Gloss-it. It was developed by a professional detailer (Rich Light) and it by far the best paint correction product on the market. Most of the problems with paint are the swirl maks caused by washing or dust removal. These products unlike some of the others mentioned actually get rid of the swirls rather than fill them. www.Gloss-it.net.
