Post Tires for MKII with 15" Wheels?

It is about time to replace the BFG tires, Front 235/60x15 & Rear 275/50x15.

MKII with Team III wheels

Front
Fox front end
Front wheels are 15"x7" with 4.5" backspace

Rear
Fox width rear axle
Levy 5 Link with VPM coil overs
Rear wheels are 15"x10" with 6.25" backspace

My questions is what is largest rear tire I can install without modification to the frame? I would also like some tire recommendations to replace the BFG radials for about 99.5% street driving.

Thxs, Jim

Thread is a little old at this point - but for the others out there looking, I just bought Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R's 6653 and 6654. Total cost shipped was $839 using a $40 off coupon code I found from StreetSideAuto.com

And they have a ton in stock right now, so I shouldn't be waiting long.

You can search on this site for what people have said about the tires.

What size tires did you end getting?

Also, can you post your backspacing and current wheel sizes?

MKII, MKIII, which type FFR?

MK4, FF's version of the 15" Halibrands, the tire sizes are

26x10.00R15
26x12.00R15

I don't remember seeing any pics of a Cobra with these tires on them on this forum, but someone on the OTHER cobra forum had some pics up.

Anyone watching this forum have a pic of your car with these tires? Let's see them.

Tires shipped yesterday, should be here Monday.

Just for reference: I got my tires mounted up. I took a pic of the rear tire so you can see the level of the sidewall bulge.
