Superlite Apex

Interesting - looks like Superlite has some competition for the FFR 818: Superlite GTA - GT40s.com Sounds like they're at least as far as FFR is on development too. Uses a 95-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse as a donor car. Looks pretty nice.

I've been keeping a very loose eye on it ever since the G3F project turned into a social media experiment instead of a car. I think it uses more than "donor parts" from the Eclipse, like retaining the whole passenger cabin, right? Fran doesn't build junk; I'm sure it will be top-notch and priced well outside of a range I want to be in once finished.

Cheers, John

Yes, it keeps the Eclipse cabin. Fran said the goal was $19995 for the kit, including wheels. Builder provides donor car, tires, & paint. So I think it'd be reasonable to say you could build one nicely for less than $30K. A bit higher than the base 818 (we don't know yet about how much an 818 with a roof will cost) but still less than a new V6 Mustang.
