New natural progression to......next build is...............
1957 Ford F100,
I just bought two of them, lol. One for 1k and one for slightly more than that. The expensive one is under construction, lol. An unfinished project so to speak. Here are the basics:
The truck had no limit suspension (air bags) front and rear, not quite completed to my likings, the cab has been changed to a custom cab (Big window welded in) again not quite to my liking. The bed floor has been raised 4 inches and the fender wells are enlarged to accommodate the wheels tucked up into the floor, lol. Here is where I wish I had Jeff's skill. Because almost all of that needs to be finished and or cleaned up. I have a guy who is going to do that for me then the fun will begin. The body is off of the chassis and needs to be blasted. After the welding is completed I will have it all powder coated!!
No motor for now, thinkin bout using the mustang motor and upgrading it. As soon as I can get pics I will take pics of both trucks!!!
Here we go, cant get enough.
PS the COBRA is going up for sale.

Sorry to hear the cobra is going up for sale but sometimes there is only so much room and so much money. I would love to see pictures of the trucks. It sounds like a great deal.

That’s a great old truck although I don’t see a straight panel on it and I see someone has already acquired the windshield. Too bad its destiny is to be a donor. Can’t wait to see the project truck.

Well this project will be even more of a total break down more so than the wagon as the truck chassis actually separates from the cab n bed. The chassis is being modified as we speak, with more cross bracing and motor mounts for a SBF. WHen I get it back from the fabricator I will post some pics. Plans are to get her dis assembled asap then off to the blaster with the rest of the body,
I am sure this thing will be apart and together several times before the final prep and paint etc.....stay tuned for the next build

WHAT? NO PICTURES! That's just not like you. It sounds like this project is much more involved then the last one. Have fun and post pictures when you have them.

Steve Frisebee built a 57 that thing was beautiful, saw it a few years ago at the Hot Rod Power Tour stop here in Chattanooga. Just google Steve's Auto Restorations and you should be able to find it. It was red in color. I have a 1971 F 100 that I hope to get started on this winter.

All I knew was Gary Coe was the owner, I assumed he built it, I should have known as bad A$$ as it was it wasnt an owner builder.
Mine will be custom but not quite like that, plus I am doin the paint this time.
Stay tuned, no real pics yet as the chassis is covered in slag and the body is scatterd all over my back yard, half of it is hanging on my fence, my wife loves that, maybe I will take a pic of that for laughs
Stay tuned Ryan
PS the Cobra is gone, first day it went up... ;-(
