Venting the crankcase.

What did we decide about venting the SBF for street applications?

I'm running a 289 w/carb and undercar exhaust w/o a catalyst.

I'd rather not have to go the usual "fresh air thru one valve cover, down the case, up into the other valve cover/PCV into the carb spacer" setup. This puts all that oily gook into the intake manifold.

Is it worth going to an exhaust collector vac tube for free vacuum and pull the blowby from both valve covers instead of a PCV setup? This'll at least put the oily fumes into the exhaust.

You could add a vacuum pump connected to an oil/air separator.

run a breather on the drivers side forward
and put a breather with a pcv built in and attach to the outlet on the carb passenger side rear
done
unless the compression is too high then drill another breather in the cover put a baffle grommet or plate to the underside of cover passenger side forward, my billet specialties covers allow to drill 4 grommet style holes.

also you may have room on the intake to the rear, to machine in a push in grommet with baffle, or drill and tap for a hose connection to do a in-line pcv.

or go old school and put a draft tube in, but bring extra oil along
