In trying to find a less expensive route to more power, I picked up a lightly used set of TFS Track Heat heads that have a "stage 1" port, max flow is about 270 intake 220 exhaust, a Victor Jr intake and a Speed Demon 650 carb. This will be going on my stock short block.

Comp cams gave me the following custom cam reccomendation:

GRIND #: FW 3613B /3299S HR110.0
SPC INST 1:
SPC INST 2:
J. DIAM: STD INT EXH
VALVE ADJUSTMENT HYD HYD
GROSS VALVE LIFT .513 .526
DURATION @ .006
TAPPET LIFT 282 289
VALVE TIMING OPEN CLOSE
@ .050 INT 9 41
EXH 52 4
SPECS FOR CAM INST. @ 106.0 CENTERLINE ASSIGNED TO PRODUCT
INT EXH
DURATION @ .050 230.00 236.00
LOBE LIFT .321 .329
LOBE SEPARATION 110.0
ROCKER ARM RATIO 1.60 1.60 REQ SHIP DATE

This looks pretty lumpy, and I'm worried about my power brakes. Would anyone care to offer an opinion? Guesses on power?

That sounds like a nice cam... Your brakes will be fine. I would use 1.7 roller rockers with that cam to get more lift. It would have 545/559 lift with 1.7's....What compression and is it a stroker 302?

CR should be about 9.5, but I've got to have the heads checked to be sure on their volume. It's going to be on my stock short block. I think I might be close on piston clearance with 1.7's. I might try to find someone with a couple of spares so I could check clearance before I decide on the rockers.

with the stock pistons and 1.7 rockers piston to valve clearance may be an issue. With that cam and intake you will make peak power around 6500 with a 7000 redline. If you have the p/v clearance I would mill the heads to get the compression up to around 10-10.5:1 . you should make around 375-400 hp at the flywheel with this combo good luck Andrew

If its a stock pistons you will not have the clearance you need with a 2.02 valve...
