Question fuel pump problem ?

I have a 460 big block in my mark 3,and I'm having trouble with fuel cutting out at higher revs. I have the fuel pump sent with the original kit in place. Do I need a more eficient pump or does this sound like somethimg else? Could use some advice on this one .Thanks ,Barry

There are a number of reasons for this, and you need to figure out what the reason is. Start by calculating fuel requirements for your engine, and then see if your fuel pump and lines can supply that. If it can on paper, start looking somewhere else - like ignition.

Icon21 Walbro pump

I also have a 460. I am running the Mass Flo EFI. The stock in tank pump that came with my full kit was insufficient. After talking to the techs at Mass Flo, I settled on the external Walbro pump. I think the flow rate is 250l/h - I could be off on that. Anyway - my pressure is set to 40psi with no problems. I am also using the AN-6 braided fuel lines.

Fuel pumps do play a very important role in your engines working the most common problems with this system are problem with relay switch as they do get stuck sometimes, and second most common problem is of contamination due to rust and it seems to stuck into the very system of fuel pump the one that is supposed to keep them out.
