Cracked oil filter adapter, Lincoln MKVIII

I'm in a bit of a jam. My 4.6 has an oil leak due to a crack in the oil filter adapter . Engine is sitting in my 3.1 roadster. Lincoln wants an arm and a leg for a new part. Can anyone out there give me a lead on one, since the local bone yards are fresh out. Short of replacing the part, is there a suitable repair I could make, such as filling the offending threaded port with high temperature epoxy, or some such material, since this threaded port is no longer usable.

You sure it's a cracked adapter and not a bad gasket between it and the block?? They were notorious for leaking at about 100K. If it is cracked just look in a bone yard for one off a MarkVIII or a 4.6 Tbird

I removed this adapter from my 4.6 Aluminator engine. it's Black Chromed. You can have it if it helps.

Cracked oil filter adapter

Thanks Idsman, mn12, and Chuck. Chuck, how can I get in touch with you? This looks like an interesting alternative.
