Best way to lift eingine

So I got the engine out of the donor by wrapping chain around oil pan. Now whats the best way to put it in the engine bay ? There are no lift point that I see, its a 98 SOHC. Thanks

There should be some bolt holes on the front and rear of the heads you can use. Find a metric bolt that fits and anchor your chain and lift away. Make sure you use good grade bolts. you will need metric ones

The connection should also be diagonal. From the driver side head to the rear passenger head.

I used an engine leveler with two chains going to the two alternator mount holes in the front and two on the rear of the heads

Great thanks! Engine is fully assembled and makes it a bit harder to install, think removing the headers will help

It's definitely more awkward when the engine is fully assembled.
Some use the leveler chains attached to a plate bolted on, with the intake manifold off.
Certainly a little more wiggle room, with the exhaust headers off..

No way could I get our leveler on our Three-Valve with the plastic intake on. Pulled that and no problem...

HTH...

I just used heavy duty soft yellow straps and moved the chassis into position more so than the engine. Lifting the rear of the chassis made it easier for it to slide right in. By using straps I didn't have to remove any intake stuff. I used headers that I installed afterward, but it's best to remove exhaust manifold and you'll need to remove the PS reservoir.

I also used Heavy Duty Yellow straps, as Bob Zook taught me, he said he used to install Hemis in drag racers this way and never failed.

Removing it from the donor:

and installing it into the FFR Chassis:
