New to the 4.6

Built a cobra then a gtm and now have ran into a good deal on a incomplete cobra that I'm thinking about picking up and finishing. Only thing is that it has a 4.6 in it and I have never messed with one. I looked in the engine gallery but most of those pics dont work anymore.

Any good build threads that you use that use 4.6's with lots of tips and pics?

Thanks guys,

Thanks Marty, going to look at the car prob the end of this week. Trying to get a boat load of questions together for him. Fitment is tight! Looks good in there though.

I need to get familiar with the electronics now. Thanks again, Kris

Do you know if it's a SOHC or DOHC motor?

I do not, I know he bought it as a crate motor. I assume that the DOHC is better? He is supposed to send me the specs today. Will post them when I find out.

DOHC makes more power, and is more expensive to modify. They also sound a lot better IMHO.

There are many great build sites and threads available. Here is one that immediately came to mind: Project Stang2Fang :: FFR Roadster Build

Dude thanks, Very nice indeed! My last one was red with white stripes, 4.6 looks at home in there.

Good all around motor that will last a long time. They like to be wound up and they really like supercharging
