Is anyone else having this problem? I hope I have attached the photos right. Also while I am at it how did you attach your cable to the gas pedal I do not seem to have the proper fitting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian
Hey Brian I have the same pedal and as far as the quadrant, I replaced mine with a ford racing piece so I dont have that problem. They are only 35 -45 dollars and are nicer then the old plastic one. Otherwise you could just remove part of it. For attaching the gas pedal, used the ffr supplied cable and took the little plastic square retainer that came with the pedal or the cable and pushed the cable throught the plastic piece, then snapped the plastic piece into the little bracket on your pedal, pain in the ars.

I'll second that, you should also build a pedal stop otherwise you'll keep "popping" your throttle cable out at the pedal when you over-accelerate. Not fun when your on the on the side of I-95 upside down trying to unsnap the black plastic thing and trying to reattach the cable.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for getting back so quick,
90notchback - I took your advise and sliced the square plastic and trimmed it so it clipped into Russ's bracket. it seems to work just fine. I do not know that replaceing the quadrant would be enough because it is hitting my arm and the plastic j piece that is attached to the prawl.
Cool C - I am not sure what you mean by a pedal stop. I am going to be in Florida - Tampa from the 19 - 26 of April and traveling all over from the 26 to 03 May May be I could see what you have done.
f4fsed - moving back and forth has not made a change because of the arc of the circle that it travels in.
In looking at it, there is something that I am missing. there are quite a few people with this set up. If I am the only one with this problem then it is something that I have done different.
The pedal is mounted as per the instructions. It is just the clutch arm that is hanging down to low. I must say that my clutch pedal is sticking way up and no where near in line with the gas and brake pedals.
Hey Brian I have a pic that you can look at. Sorry it is not very good the car is getting harder to take pics of things. This is a pic of our Ford racing $35 quadrant. If you compare the 2 you will see how big a diff it makes. There is also the clutch sensor that will need to be modified a bit but I cant get back there to get a good pic of it, although I found out about it on this forum.

I think I have found the problem.
I wish I could blame this on someone but. It looks as though I took all of the clutch Quadrant stop off instead of notching it.
That is why it is hanging down.
Does any one have a solution for this instead of buying a whole new pedal box?????
Get a piece of 1/8" x 1/2" steel from the local hardware store. Use a vise, wrench, and such and fashion a new stop for the clutch to rest on. Bolt or weld it to the existing pedal box.
HTH,
John
