Can anyone identify this plug?

I have searched my chiltons manual, as well as all of the pictures I took when I disassembled the motor, and cannot figure out what to do with this piece.

It appears to be some sort of sensor, that has a hose going in, and a hose going out. Does anyone know what this does if it is needed? I somehow think it went to the back of the intake but I have a hose going there from a small round canistor type sensor. Everything seems to work fine, as I have been go-carting. Possibly EGR related (which I had deleted from my computer)

Any and all assistance is appreciated

Thanks,

Craig,
I'm betting that it is a vacuum circuit from manifold vacuum in the rear center of the upper intake thru the device you have pictured which my Ford CD calls a Thermister and then thru a device called "EVAP PURGE VALVE" and the to the Evap canister. The device you picture is mounted just a few inches to the passenger side of center near the top of the fire wall on my '97 donor. The vacuum line to the canister continues toward the pass. side and down with the evap purge valve hanging only from the vac hose just before the hose goes behind the R front inner fender to the evap canister.

I can take a pic if that will help.

Craig,
For my '97 donor, I think that the Thermister I mentioned before is the "Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Flow Sensor" and the connector is C195. The EVAP Purge Valve in the vacuum circuit that I described before uses connector C190.

CC a picture would be great. That was my intial thougth that it might go in that line, but the Evap purge valve in the line, I didn't know why there would be two sensors in the same line.

I would really appreciate a picture.

Thanks,

Craig,

I am attempting to attach pics. These are in the FFCars Gallery. If you can't see/get to these let me know and I'll get help/try again.

The EVAP Valve is the off white nylon looking device in pic. Strike "blue" from that description.
