Question Hydroboost Tool

Are there any bros' out there that are done with the hydroboost removal socket and are mailing that thing around like the pedal benders? Just curious, I need to borrow one. Thanks!

Haven't heard of that going on, but I'm done with mine and will mail it to you if someone closer doesn't chime in. My kit came with the tool - included with 4.6 package of stuff, but that was 18 months ago. What kit are you building?

F&J,
Thanks man, I have a SBF kit, not the modular one and going with hydrobbost. I am ordering the Hydrobooster adapter from FF in the next few days and I am pretty sure they don't include the tool. I wanted to get the adapter and see if it is something I want to use. I've heard its a little "flimsy" and I might want to drill holes and and make my own....I'll let you know, thanks for the offer. If someone else needs it quicker, take it....I will get in line. Thanks! Dave

Sorry to jump in, but what does this tool do?

I just purchased a MC w/Hydroboost off eBay. I also have a SBF kit.

Thanks,

Mike

It's essentially a fabricated (welded) extra long deep socket.

It's used to remove and install the large retaining nut on the hydrobooster with the booster pushrod still in place.

Here's a pic of what it looks like:

Hope this helps,

Sean

Sean, Great picture! That reminds me....remember to remove the snap ring before removing the nut. Don't ask me how I know.... Then put snap ring back when re-assembling.
